Why you should know about climate change

‘Climate change’ refers to significant changes in global temperature, precipitation, wind patterns and other measures of climate that occur over several decades or longer (Definition: IPCC’s fourth assessment report).
  • Anthropogenic causes accelerate the change in the climate significantly:
  • Pattern of precipitation and temperature has changed, enhanced extreme events
  • Higher incidence of water and vector-borne diseases,
  • Deteriorated air quality,
  • Understanding for being better prepared:
  • How the climate is changing?
  • What are the causes behind it?
  • How it will make an impact on the life of people?
