EXTREME EVENTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Scientists and government experts have agreed that limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5 °C would help avoid the worst climate impacts and preserve a livable climate.

Without immediate, rapid, and large-scale reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, the goal of limiting warming to1.5°C will be unattainable.

Based on current national climate plans, global warming is projected to reach 3.2 °C by the end of the century.
